That being said................................................
I am 26 years old and TIRED of being overweight! I truly believe Big can be beautiful but I also believe it's time to be healthy! I realize there's a problem when I can't walk and talk without getting winded. There's a problem when I get out of breath walking from my chair to the shampoo bowl at work. There's a problem when I eat just for the hell of it rather than eating for being hungry.
Thanks to my hubby, we are embarking on a weight loss journey TOGETHER! He's found a Dr. in Elk Grove that is a weight loss specialist that has already got us going! Today was our 1st meeting with Dr. Stone and we received a B12 shot (Vitamin B-12 is important for the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system and for the formation of blood. It is normally involved in the metabolism of every cell of the body, especially affecting the DNA synthesis and regulation but also fatty acid synthesis and energy production), our phentermine (an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system. Phentermine is used together with diet, exercise and behavioral modification to treat obesity), chromium picolinate (Chromium picolinate has been used in alternative medicine as an aid to lowering cholesterol or improving the body's use of glucose (sugar). It is also commonly touted as a weight-loss supplement that aids in reducing body fat and increasing lean muscle) and a very detailed "What To/Not To Eat" plan (including drinking 64 oz of water a day!).
Although I am VERY excited about this weight loss journey, I was shocked to see a few numbers in our meeting. According to weight charts, I should be between 159 & 179 lbs. I'm kinda over that by 153 - 133 lbs (yea, u do the math). My BMI is supposed to be about 24 and it's almost double that. My body fat should be between 25 & 31 and I topped that at 43%. So basically,
I'm a hot mess and I need this program to work for me!
Tomorrow is the 1st day of this new program and will also be my 1st day in the gym.. I'll keep ya posted on what I ate during the day and how it went! Wish me luck!
G'Nite!
